Made by Clinton's very own, Abby Harris.

By the calendar, spring always begins on March 1 and runs through May 30. Astronomically, the beginning of spring is marked by the equinox, which falls on March 19, 20, or 21--in the Northern Hemisphere--based on Earth's revolution around the sun.

Either way, opening a new journal can be daunting. Blank pages await your innermost thoughts penned artfully and poetically to illustrate the best of yourself every day until the pages are full.

Who has the time or patience for that?

The 90-day spring journal is designed to help you overcome the overwhelm of finding time to write and thinking about what to write.

There are 90 prompts in this journal, each accompanied by a quote meant to inspire and encourage you the way a friend might. Just like friends, sometimes they're deep--sometimes not.

Some prompts are lists, some are questions, some build on the day before (though most don't), and one or two asks you to fill the page with a single affirmation statement. You'll see things like:

  • What kind of person were you today?
  • How are fear, guilt, and shame holding you back?
  • Describe an emotion you have trouble expressing.

As spring comes to an end, the journal prompts will become a bit more forward looking, but that's as complex as it gets.

Considering your time, each page has only 23 lines, but you'll find 45 additional blank pages at the end in case you need them. Just put a little arrow at the bottom of the prompt page, flip over to your next blank page, fill in the date/day you're continuing from, and keep going.

My hope is that you'll find time to use the spring journal daily, taking a few minutes for yourself and your thoughts. But, even more, I hope you do what you can with the time you have available.

The point is progress, not perfection. (Whew!)

Remember, self-care is a deliberate choice you deserve to make, but it absolutely takes practice to become a habit.

Happy journaling!
